It’s mid-January. The large ash tree in my back yard is finally dropping its leaves. This is supposed to be a deciduous tree that loses its leaves in the winter. But, every year it seems the date the leaves start dropping gets later.
In fact, the tree has already started budding for the spring.
Perhaps this year there will never be a week when my ash tree is without leaves. If that happens, can I still call it a deciduous tree?
