Weird cloud

A thunderstorm came through Phoenix this afternoon.  I’ve heard the expression “an angry-looking sky”, and that definitely was true today.  I can best describe the clouds as “low tumblers”, “turbulent clumps of fog”, or “atmospheric peristalsis”.  Here is a photo I took, but in hindsight I should have took video to catch the interesting motions.

One Response to Weird cloud

  1. Ironic Mom says:

I first looked at the “low tumblers” (great term), then I had a typically Canadian response: Look how green the trees still are! Yup, our leaves are turning yellow and orange; most have fallen to the ground.

    Great pic!
